Alice "Helen" [Kerr] Gilbreath
December 29, 1914 ~ May 30, 2006


Funeral services for Alice "Helen" Gilbreath, age 91, of Oklahoma City, OK were held Friday, June 2, 2006, 2 p.m. at Wilmont Place Baptist Church.

Helen was born on December 29, 1914 in Steedman, Oklahoma to John and Celia [Cannon] Kerr. She died Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at Southwestern Medical Center.

She grew up in Agwam, Oklahoma and attended school there.

She married Harry Gilbreath, the love of her life, on November 23, 1929 in Ninnekah, Oklahoma. She was a housewife and the loving mother of five boys. After the boys were grown, she worked for several different employers, but her favorite was being a florist at Miami Flowers in Oklahoma City, OK. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family.

She was a founding member of Snow Hill Baptist Church of Tuttle, OK and a member of the Snow Hill Demonstration Club. She was an active member of Wilmont Place Baptist Church of Oklahoma City, OK for 46 years.

Helen was preceded in death by: Her husband Harry Gilbreath in May, 1982, sons: Charles "Mike" Gilbreath, Leroy "Red" Gilbreath and Glen Gilbreath.

She leaves wonderful memories with two sons and five daughters-in-law: Curtis and Bobbie Gilbreath of Blanchard, OK, Don and Linda Gilbreath of Oklahoma City, OK, Vaughnia Gilbreath of Eagen, MN, Esther Gilbreath of Blanchard, OK, and Maryann Ratliff of Blanchard, OK; 12 Grandchildren: Brenda Wade of Oklahoma City, OK, Charles "Chuck" Gilbreath of Oklahoma City, OK, Greg and Kay Gilbreath of Tuttle, OK, Karen and Ron Plumlee of Tuttle, OK, Perrie and Tim Daugherty of Highland Village, TX, Glen and Deanna Gilbreath Jr., of Chickasha, OK, Gail and John Waldrop of McAlester, OK, Lisa and David Carmen of Weatherford, TX, Janna and Audie Cornelius of Blanchard, OK, Jennifer and Jerry Bookout of Dibble, OK, Gil Gilbreath of Blanchard, OK and Kenny Gilbreath of Oklahoma City, OK; 27 Great grandchildren and numerous great, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Helen was laid to rest beside her husband Harry at Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle, OK.

Esther Elizabeth Gilbreath
January 10, 1928 ~ October 16, 2017


Esther Elizabeth Gilbreath, 89, of Edmond, formerly of Blanchard, died Monday, October 16, 2017 at her home. The daughter of Christopher Adam Brandt and Helen Molly [Loeffelholz] Brandt, she was born January 10, 1928 in Wheatland, Oklahoma.

Esther married Yelverton Leroy "Red" Gilbreath on January 14, 1961 in Oklahoma City. She worked as a beautician for over 30 years and was Catholic in faith. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bingo and Yahtzee, gardening, watching and feeding the birds in her yard. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Jeffrey Leroy Gilbreath and Larry Lloyd Turner; and her husband, Leroy "Red" Gilbreath.

She is survived by three daughters, Dianne Martin, of Mustang, Debbie McIntire and her husband, Mark, of Oklahoma City, and Sheryl Starr of Edmond; one son Gil Gilbreath and Cheryl Riggs, of Blanchard; eleven grandchildren, Todd, April, Tiffany, Rhonda, Vanessa, Tara, Ashlee, Chris, Cody, Kevin, and Kim; eighteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Clifford Brandt of Texas, and Howard Brandt of Oklahoma City; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle. Esther Elizabeth Gilbreath
January 10, 1928 ~ October 16, 2017


Curtis Perry Gilbreath, 87, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Tuttle, died Friday, May 3, 2019, in Oklahoma City. The son of Harry Gilbreath and Alice Helen [Kerr] Gilbreath, he was born December 11, 1931, in Ninnekah, Oklahoma.

Curtis was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He married the love of his life, Bobbie Jeanne Likes, on August 27, 1955, in Putnam, Oklahoma. Curtis was a member of Snow Hill Baptist Church in Tuttle. He owned and operated a barber/beauty shop in Oklahoma City for many years and also worked as a homebuilder. In his spare time, he enjoyed farming and raising cattle, hunting, and fishing. Curtis loved to take his grandchildren and great grandchildren for rides on his tractor. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Charles “Mike” Gilbreath, Leroy “Red” Gilbreath, and Glenn Gilbreath.

Curtis is survived by his wife of nearly 64 years, Bobbie Gilbreath of the home; two daughters, Karen Plumlee and husband, Ron, of Blanchard, Perrie Daugherty and husband, Tim, of Highland Village, Texas; one son, Greg Gilbreath and wife, Kay, of Tuttle; five grandchildren, Carrie Hulcher and husband, Carson, of Edmond, Jeff Gilbreath and wife, Shannon, of Mobile, Alabama, Cynthia Rollins and husband, Josh, of Union City, Kayla Mills of Yukon, and Megan Daugherty of Highland, Village, Texas; seven great grandchildren, Kelsey, Tucker, Kellen, Griffin, Braiden, Avery, and Hunter; one brother, Don Gilbreath of Oklahoma City; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Ratliff of Blanchard; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at Snow Hill Baptist Church in Tuttle. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
