© Eisenhour Funeral Home Blanchard, Oklahoma November 13, 2015 March 18, 1950 ~ November 13, 2015 Anton Don Gelnar, 65, of Tuttle, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2015, at his home, with his two angels by his bedside Don said that his Uncle Frank, who passed away one year ago at age 100, had sent two angels to be his caregivers for the last two weeks of his life. Those angels were his cousins, James "Jim" Hrdy and Elaine Hrdy-Straka. Don was born March 18, 1950 in Okarche, Oklahoma, to Anton and Mary T. [Ruzicka] Gelnar. He spent his early years living northwest of Yukon and in 1954 his family moved to a farm in Tuttle. Don was a graduate of Amber-Pocasset High School and received an Associates Degree from El Reno College in 1971. In his younger years, Don loved to tractor pull and was a member of the Tractor Pullers Club in Chickasha. He was a very talented finish carpenter and worked for many years in the construction industry. Don spent the better part of his life farming and enjoyed refurbishing farm machinery and furniture. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Linda. Don is survived by his aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, neighbors, and friends; as well as his faithful companion, his dog, Goob. |
