Ethel Mae Garrett
April 30, 1909 ~ February 1, 1989


Funeral for Ethel Mae Garrett, 79, will be at 1:30 pm on Saturday, February 4, 1989, in Sowers Memorial Chapel, Sevier Funeral Home, Tuttle.

She was born April 30, 1909, in Foss, and died Wednesday, February 1, 1989, in her home.

She had lived in Tuttle for most of her life and was a homemaker. She was married on January 4, 1930, to Francis A. "Joe" Garrett. He preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 1972.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Willie F. Garrett on February 7, 1986, and Gerald Dan Garrett on December 9, 1984, and by two brothers.

She was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Tuttle.

Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Myers and Shirley Hayes, both of Oklahoma City; three sons, Charles E. Garrett of Newalla, Calvin Don Garrett of Allen, Jerry Dean Garrett of Moore; 20 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter; two sisters, Thelma Gibens of Newcastle, Mamie McKinney of Tuttle; four brothers, Floyd Welchel of Choctaw, James Welchel of Tuttle, T. J. Welchel of Newcastle, Aldon Welchel of Memphis, Tenn.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home of Tuttle.

Funeral services for Adrian Albert Garrett, 92, of Tuttle, Oklahoma will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the First Assembly of God Church in Tuttle.

Adrian Albert was born November 27, 1920 in Cogar, Oklahoma the son of Claude Columbus Garrett and Pearl [Jeske] Garrett. He died March 31, 2013 in Tuttle.

Adrian and Wanda Scott were married May 29, 1948 in Minco, Oklahoma. He was a farmer and wheat harvester. He served in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his wife Wanda Joy Scott Garrett, great granddaughter Lyla Ann Garrett, mother Pearl Garrett, father Claude Garrett, stepmother Neva Garrett, brothers, Marland Garrett and Bucky Garrett and sisters Geneva Kuhlman, Elaine Marsh and Rita Miller.

Survivors include children, Brenda Masterson and husband Jim of Tuttle, Albert Garrett and wife Linda of Tuttle, Mary Douglas and husband Alan of Tuttle, Alfred Garrett and wife Sondra of Tuttle, Ronald Garrett and wife Michelle of Tuttle, Rhonda Rogers and husband Jim Ed of Tuttle; brothers Ronnie Garrett and wife Kathy of Shawnee, OK, and Dale Garrett and wife Peggy of Tuttle, OK; sisters Paula Garrett of Hinton, OK and Nola Stark of Hinton, OK; 26 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, daughter-in-law Sherry Garrett and son-in-law Jim Smith.

Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home

Willie Francis Garrett Sr

Services for Willie E. Garrett Sr, 55, Tuttle, were held February 10, 1986 in the First Pentecostal Holiness church with Rev Ben Parker officiating.

He was born November 21, 1930 in Tuttle and died February 7, 1986 in Tuttle. He was married June 15, 1957 in Wichita County, TX, to Vina Jane Mitchum. He served in the Army and was a welder afterwards. He was preceded in death by his father, Francis A. Garrett and a brother, Gerald Dan Garrett.

He is survived by his wife, Vina, 1 daughter, Carlotta Peeler, 2 sons, Willie Garrett Jr & Terry Lynn Garrett, all of Tuttle, 3 brothers, Charles Edward Garrett of Newalla, Calvin Don Garrett of Ardmore, & Jerry Dean Garrett of Oklahoma City, 2 sisters, Wanda Lucille Myers of Oklahoma City & Shirley May Hayes of Tuttle, and his mother, Ethel May Rich Garrett of Tuttle.

Interment was in Fairview cemetery under direction of Sevier funeral home, Tuttle.

Wanda Joy [Scott] Garrett
April 27, 1931 ~ February 8, 2010


Funeral services for Wanda Joy Garrett, 78, of Tuttle, were held on Wednesday, February 19, 2010 at the First Assembly of God Church in Tuttle, Oklahoma.

Wanda Joy Garrett was born April 27, 1931 in Amber, the daughter of Walter Marvin and Nanie Lee [Hudson] Scott. She died Monday, February 8, 2010 in Oklahoma City.

Wanda was a woman of many talents. She loved to cook for all of those who came to her house, and she enjoyed her garden and flowers.

Wanda was an accomplished musician and played many different instruments. She also enjoyed fishing and was a better fisherman than all of her sons.

Wanda was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Friendly Mound Club and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Tuttle.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 15 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her husband Adrian Garrett of the home, children Brenda Masterson and husband Jim of Tuttle, Albert Garrett of Tuttle and Sherry Garrett of Denton, Texas, Mary Lou Douglas and husband Alan of Tuttle and Ronald Dale Garrett and wife Michelle of Tuttle, son-in-law Jim Smith of Tesarkana, Ark., sisters Alice Jones of Amber, Mary Amies of Cement, 29 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home of Tuttle.

Funeral services for Wesley Claude "Bucky" Garrett 64, of Union City were held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 27,1999, at the First Assembly of God Church in Tuttle. Bro. Larry Harris and Rev. Ralph McDaniel officiated.

Wesley Claude "Bucky" Garrett was born June 17, 1934, ar Cogar, the son of Claude Columbus and Neva Lina [Armstrong] Garrett, and died Wednesday, February 24, 1999, at his home in Union City.

He had been in the Union City area for 30 years having previously come from Moore. On March 28, 1953, he married Leah Jean Roberts at Minco . Bucky was a retired carpenter and a member of the Carpenters Union. He was also a member of the First Assembly of God in Tuttle.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Geneva Kuhlman; three nephews, Todd Garrett, Billy Kuhlman and George Kuhlman; one niece, Minnie Kuhlman.

Survivors include his wife, Leah Jean Garrett of the home; two sons and their wives, Wesley and Odessa Garrett of Union City, and Mike and Pauline Garrett of Union City; one daughter and her husband, Lavona and Gary Ninman of Union City; four brothers and sister-in-laws, Dale and Peggy Garrett of Tuttle, Ronnie and Kathy Garrett of Shawnee, Marland and Dollie Garrett of Oklahoma City, and Adrian and Wanda Garrett of Tuttle; four sisters, Nola and George Stark of Wayne, Paula Garrett of Minco, Loretta Miller of Newcastle , and Elaine Marsh of Marysville Wash.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and 51 nieces and nephews.

Internet was in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle , under the direction oh Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Donald Harris, Lonnie Yandell, Ernie Elkins, Roland Willmon, Jack Eisenman and Randy Palumbo.

Funeral services for Leah Jean Garrett, 74 former Union City resident, were held on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at the Assembly of God Church in Tuttle.

Leah Jean Garrett was born on March 10, 1935 in Tuttle to Ernest and Lillie "Dude" [Givens] Roberts. She died on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the Tuttle Care Center.

She was a member of the Tuttle Assembly of God Church, President of Women's Ministries and was Sunday School Secretary.

She married Wesley "Bucky" Garrett on March 28, 1953 in Minco and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wesley, her parents, her brother Ed Roberts and brother-in-law John Warden.

She is survived by her sons Wesley Garrett and Mike and Pauline Garrett, all of Union City, daughter Lavona and Gary Ninman of Purcell, brothers Wilmer and Jackie Roberts of Tuttle and Raymond and Jenny Roberts of Tahlequah, sisters Ernestine Warden of Tuttle, Annabelle and Glen Box of Newport, Mich., Linda Pearl and Shorty Conner of Tuttle, and Loretta and Darrel Dayton of Lawton, grandchildren Dallas Garrett, Chad Garrett and wife Lindsey, Leah Murie, Jeremy Riley, Amanda Johnson and husband Jacob, Otto Garrett and wife Rondalyn, Landon Ninman and wife Jessica, great grandchildren J.D. Riley, Keely Riley, Garrett Johnson, Berkley Johnson, Rylee Ninman, Ryker Ninman, Daysha Garrett, Quinton Garrett and Tee'ona Garrett and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Rev. Larry Harris of the Tuttle Assembly of God officiated and interment was in the Tuttle Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco.

Larry Wayne Garrett, 57, of Blanchard died February 12, 2012 in Oklahoma City. The son of Benny and Donna Garrett, he was born October 30, 1954 in El Reno.

Larry loved to fish and enjoyed doing different types of crafts.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Benny Garrett; his brother, Danny Garrett; his grandparents, Harley and Agnes Garrett and Raymond and Nora Schlagel; uncles, Dale Garrett and Bud Garrett; and an aunt, Nancy McConnell.

Larry is survived by his mother, Donna Garrett; a niece, Traci Jones and husband Jason; great nephews and nieces, Tai, Tana, Jordan, and Jada; aunts and uncles, Barbara and Dalton Knox, Loretta Garrett, Sharon Garrett, Shirley and Fred Ivie, Shirley and Hawthorne Faison, and Larry McConnell; numerous cousins; and one very special friend and companion, his dog, Sandy.

Graveside funeral service will be 3:30 PM, Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle with Rick Alexander officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
