December 8, 1957 ~ January 5, 2007 Funeral services for Anthony "Tony" H. Courtney, 49 of Tuttle, Oklahoma were held at 4 p.m., Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at the Tuttle Elementary School Cafetorium. Anthony "Tony"' H. Courtney was born December 8, 1957 in West Virginia. He went to watch the big baseball game in heaven with Jesus on January 5, 2007. Tony was preceded in death by his father Lee Courtney of Indiana and his mother Geneva Courtney of Indiana, a brother Eddie Courtney of Indiana, and his sister Trina Courtney also of Indiana. Tony leaves behind his beautiful and loving bride of nineteen years Donna of the home, four sons: Tommy Pedrosa of Tuttle, Tristan Courtney of the home, Cody Courtney of the home and Nathan Courtney of Indiana; three daughters: Tabatha Courtney of the home, Kayla Courtney of the home and Nadine Courtney of Indiana and one grandson Kyle of Indiana. Also a brother Mike Courtney of Indiana. Tony worked for the Tuttle School system for almost 10 years. Whether he was driving the special education bus (there were so many of the children that Tony loved and he would talk about them all the time), or if he was driving the cheerleaders wherever they needed to go, or doing his maintenance job, Tony was always giving of himself to help others. You could always count on having Tony at all of the Tuttle games no matter where or what game it was, he was there cheering for Tuttle and his kids. Tony had many friends; he never met anyone who was not his friend. He touched each one of us in some way, and we will always remember him with warm thoughts in our hearts. Pallbearers are Tristan Courtney, Grant Glasser, Joseph Scott, Nathan Harp, Zack Ramirez, Bryce Moore, Garrett Bayliff, Corey Potter, Reno Marical and JP Curlee. Honorary pallbearers are Travis Simpkins, Butch Glover, Jimmy Nance, Mike Courtney, Tommy Pedrosa, Denis Fine, Clint Shultz and Randy Jaco. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home of Tuttle. |
