© Havenbrook Funeral Home Norman, Oklahoma March 27, 2014 William Lee "Buddy" Carl July 9,1939 ~ March 27, 2014 William was born on July 9, 1939 to T.W. and Clara B. [Davis] Carl in Big Sandy, TN. William grew up in TN and attended the University of Tennessee, earning his degree in Pharmacy from the Medical Units in Memphis. William worked at Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City before moving to Duncan, OK in 1972 where he owned and operated Palace Drug and Duncan Drug. He later became a staff pharmacist at Duncan Regional Hospital until his retirement in 2001. William helped countless people through the years as a trusted pharmacist. William is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Beatrice Anna [Carroll] Carl; sons, Tony and wife Candi of Norman, OK, and Keith and wife Mary of Fort Worth, TX; brothers, James Carl and wife Novis, and Richard Carl and wife Jean of Paris, TN; mother-in-law, Anna Carroll of Norman, OK and sister-in-law, Maxine Tinney and her husband Bob of AZ. He is preceded in death by his parents, T.W. and Clara B. Carl. William was a wonderful and caring husband and father. As a longtime member of Highland Park Baptist Church in Duncan, William was a Deacon and served in many areas of leadership. His faith and service to our Lord was a huge part of his life, as was his family, especially his three grandchildren, Lauren, Braden and Katelyn Carl. William left to be with our Lord and Savior on March 27, 2014. He will be greatly missed. Services will be at 10:00 A. M. Monday, March 31, 2014 at Havenbrook Funeral Home, 3401 Havenbrook St.,Norman, OK. Memorials may be made to Falls Creek (http://www.fallscreek.org/).
