Iris Annie [Rowland] Bradley
August 7, 1907 ~ January 29, 2007


Iris Annie Bradley, age 99 of Wayne, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2007 at Lexington Nursing Home.

She was born August 7, 1907 in Tuttle, Okla. to Lemuel Swain Rowland and Louisa Sullivant Rowland. She grew up in Tuttle and graduated from Tuttle High School. She later met and married Orin Bradley.

She graduated from the University of Oklahoma and also received a Masters degree from OU. Over the years Iris taught school in the Tuttle and Cyril School Systems. She also taught for many years at Wayne Public Schools. While in Wayne she was an active longtime member f the Wayne Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lemuel and Louisa Rowland; her husband, Orin E. Bradley in 1990; a daughter, Lemois R. Ervi in 1998; a sister, Lillian Potter in 2004; and a granddaughter, Laura Ervi in 1988.

She is survived by a son-in-law , Robert Ervi and wife Donna of Garland, Texas; one Grandson, Richard Ervi and wife Suzanne of Fairfax, Va.; and nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 2007 at the Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle, Okla. with Mr. David Howell officiating. Arrangements by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
