© Tuttle Times Tuttle, Oklahoma Thursday, January 14, 1993 Willard Henry Barrett Sr June 17, 1920 ~ January 9, 1993 Funeral service for Willard Henry Barrett Sr, 72, of Tuttle, was held Monday, 1/11/1993, in the Sowers Memorial chapel, Tuttle. Rev Greg Keenen officiated. Willard Henry Barett Sr was born 6/17/1920 in Gettysburg, South Dakota, the son of Robert & Ethel [Norris] Barrett, and died Saturday, 1/9/1993, in Oklahoma City. He moved to Tuttle in 1978 from Oklahoma City. He & Louise Poage were married 4/17/1991 in Delight, Ark. Mr Barrett was a General Contractor in the construction business. He served in the Army during World War II, in the 34th Division. Mr Barrett was a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters. Survivors include his wife, Louise, 1 son, Willard "Bill" Henry Barrett Jr of Norfolk, Neb, 5 daughters, Dixie Lee Flom of Coon Rapids, Minn, Linda Lou Bodd of Lincoln, Neb, Jean Alene Toay of Sioux Falls, SD, Marcie Faye Barrett of Tuttle, 2 step-daughters, Ruby Lee Bennett of El Cajon, CA & Mary Louise Copeland of Oklahoma City, 2 step-sons, Don Poage of Austin, Tx & Bill Poage of De Soto, TX, 1 brother, Dale Barrett of Delight, Ark, 2 sisters, Roberta Holman of Whittier, CA & Peggy Thomas of Atmore, Ala, 31 grandchildren, & 27 great-grandchildren. Interment was in Fairview cemetery, Tuttle, under direction of Sevier funeral home, Tuttle. |
