© The Tuttle Times Tuttle, Oklahoma August 24, 1972 November 5, 1917 ~ Last rites were held Friday at the Sowers Memorial chapel of the Sevier funeral home of Tuttle for Johnny Paul Arterberry, 54, with Rev Alvin McConnell officiating. Mr Arterberry was injured Monday when a tractor he was operating turned over and injured him. He died Wednesday in St Anthony hospital. He was born November 5, 1917. Music was provided by the church choir. Pallbearers were Lonnie Farley, L.R. Streber, Leonard Allison, Bob Brown, Virgil Voight, & Ed Plumlee. He is survived by his wife, Pearl, of the home in Tuttle, 2 sons, Paul Jr of Tuttle & Arthur Lee of Ft Worth, Tex, 6 grandchildren, 3 brothers, George of Chickasha, Howard B. of Tuttle, & Benny of Alex, 4 sisters, Mrs Myrtle Powell, Mrs Mary Frazier, & Mrs Viola Matthews of Chickasha, and Mrs Carol Lay of Verden. Interment was in Fairview cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of the Sevier funeral home of Tuttle. |
© The Tuttle Times Tuttle, Oklahoma May 5, 2005 August 21, 1921 ~ May 1, 2005 Funeral services for Pearl Pauline Rossiter, 83, of Tuttle, Oklahoma were held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at the Word of Faith Church, Tuttle. Pearl Pauline Rossiter was born August 21, 1921 in McAlester, Oklahoma the daughter of Arthur and Nora F. [Davis] Garrett and died May 1, 2005 in Tuttle. She lived around Tuttle most of her life. She married Johnny Arterberry in 1939 and he preceded her in death. She married Bert Rossiter June 4, 1973, and he also preceded her in death. Mrs. Rossiter was also preceded in death by: one son: Arthur Lee Arterberry; one brother: Conner Garrett; one great granddaughter: Peyton Nicole Unchurch . Survivors include: one son: Paul Arterberry and wife, Shirley, of Tuttle; three sisters: Betty Defibaugh of Marlow, Oklahoma, Effie Duke of Marlow, Oklahoma, Pat Lambert of Cache, Oklahoma; one sister-in-law: Mary Garrett of Marlow, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home, Tuttle. |
