© Ferguson Funeral Home Chickasha, Oklahoma February 2015 May 19, 1948 ~ February 12, 2015 uneral services for Carolyn Ruth Young, 66, of Chickasha, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Judy Dixon officiating. Carolyn Ruth Young was born May 19, 1948 in Durant, Oklahoma, the daughter of Albert Watson and Ora Mae [Evans] Watson. She passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As a young person, Carolyn moved to Illinois, and then later moved back to the Lawton, Oklahoma area. She came to Chickasha in the 1960’s, where she was employed for Pet Milk for 20 years, until it closed. She later became the supervisor of housekeeping at Shanoan Springs Nursing Center. Carolyn married John Eugene Young on July 8, 2000 in Chickasha. She liked to travel, riding along with John when he made trips as a long haul trucker. They also enjoyed taking cruises together. Carolyn enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. She was preceded in death by both parents; two brothers, Charlie and Jerry Gann. Survivors include her husband, John, of the home; daughter, Angel Harrison of Yukon; three grandchildren, Brianna, Jacob, and Garret Harrison; brother, Paul Watson, and his wife, Josephine, of Lawton; sister, Linda Gann of Tecumseh; half-brother, Johnny Gann; as well as other family and friends. Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. |
