He died Friday, October 14, 2005, in Chickasha. © The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Sunday, October 16, 2005 June 21, 1925 ~ October 14, 2005 Funeral services for Randall Wilson of Chickasha will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday October 17, 2005 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel, with Mike Rogers officiating. Randall Wilson was born in Eagletown, Oklahoma, the son of Calvin Wilson and Cornelia Ward Wilson. He died Friday, October 14, 2005, in Chickasha. Randall grew up in Eagletown, Oklahoma, where he attended and graduated from Eagletown High School. He was a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and had fond memories of growing up in Southeast Oklahoma. In 1943 he enlisted in the United States Navy, serving in World War II aboard the submarine U.S.S. Barb and also during the Korean War aboard the U.S.S. Pomodon. In 1955, in Antlers, Oklahoma, he married his love of 50 years, Leona Impson. He worked as an agent for the Frisco Railroad and later the Burlington Northern Railroad in Chickasha for over 30 years. Randall enjoyed working in his yard, fishing, and spending time with his family and many friends. He was preceded in death by both parents; two brothers, Grant and James Wilson; and a half-brother, Jesse Stafford. He is survived by his wife Leona Wilson, of the home; four daughters, Margaret McWilliams (husband Larry), Tracy Wilson, and Sandy Wilson, all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Donna Tawkoyty, of San Antonio; one son, Michael Wilson(wife Nancy), of Waukesha, Wisconsin; ten grandchildren: Caleb, Zachary, and Kendall McWilliams, James Johnson, Jared Wilson, Phillip Tawkoyty, Benjamin, Sarah, Abigail, and Katherine Wilson. Internment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. |
© Ferguson Funeral Home Chickasha, Oklahoma December 2013 September 28, 1935 ~ December 2, 2013 Funeral Services for Leona Ruth Wilson of Chickasha will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel. Gary Journeycake will be officiating. Leona Ruth Wilson was born in Antlers, Oklahoma on September 28, 1935, the daughter of Dickey John and Myrtle Bohanan Impson. She died on December 2, 2013, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Leona grew up in Antlers, Oklahoma, where she attended Goodland Academy and later graduated from Antlers High School. She was a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. In 1955, she married Randall Wilson in Antlers, Oklahoma. They were married for fifty years until his death in 2005. After their marriage they moved to Chickasha, where she worked as an inspector at Maremont which later became Gabriel. She retired from Gabriel after many years of service. Leona was a member of St. York Baptist Church in Marlow, Oklahoma. Leona was a cancer survivor for over ten years. She enjoyed reading her Bible, and making and buying jewelry. She deeply loved and enjoyed all her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by: both parents, Dickey John Impson and Myrtle Bohanan Impson; her husband, Randall Wilson; one sister Mildred Daisy Walker; four brothers, Dickey John Impson Jr., Finis Ewing Impson, David Warren Impson, and Preston Wayne Impson; as well as two infant siblings. She is survived by: four daughters, Margaret McWilliams and her husband Larry, Tracy Wilson, and Sandy Wilson all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Donna Tawkoyty of San Antonio; one son Michael Wilson and his wife Nancy of Waukesha, Wisconsin; ten grandchildren, Caleb, Zachary, and Kendall McWilliams, James Johnson, Jared Wilson, Phillip Tawkoyty, Benjamin, Sarah, Abigail, and Katherine Wilson; and four sisters, Claudine Wheeler, Sophia Linda Impson, Elizabeth Ann Impson, and Marchelene Davis. Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. |
