© The Tuttle Times Tuttle, Oklahoma June 20, 2008 February 15, 1934 ~ June 6, 2008 Funeral services for Duane Wigley, 74, of Chickasha, Oklahoma were held Tuesday, June 10, 2008 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Duane Wigley was born February 15, 1934 in Mulberry, Arkansas the son of William Jennings and Gladys [Albright] Wigley and died June 6, 2008 in Chickasha. Duane moved to Tuttle from Lookeba as a teenager and attended school at Tuttle. He and Shirlene Wood were married June 28,1952 in Chickasha. After moving to Chickasha, Duane worked with his father-in-law, LaRoy Wood, doing carpenter and construction work. He later owned and operated Wigley Construction Company. He was a member of the Parkview Christian Church and served as a deacon and worked with different youth groups in church and on special trips. Duane worked with Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and Chickasha Little League. He was secretary of the Local Carpenters Union, board member of Norge Water Board and was a charter member and president of the Chickasha Swinging Chicks Square Dance Club. He was associated with Winnebago-Itasca Travel and served as a coordinator. Duane was preceded in death by two sons, Jeffrey Lynn Wigley on November 22, 1977 and Martin Duane Wigley on November 9, 1992; a great grandson, Logan Wigley; and his parents. Survivors include his wife Shirlene Wigley of the home; two sons, Randy Wigley of Cement and Steve Wigley and wife, Cheryl, of Amber; two sisters, Doris Marie McElhaney of Tuttle and Barbara Jo DeGiusti of Tuttle; one brother, Jimmy Don Wigley of Tuttle; grandchildren Allison Wigley, Amy McCracken, Jason Wigley, Brittney Wigley and Tisha Wigley; one great grandchild, Shylah Wigley; foster daughter Dee Marrin; and many friends. Interment was in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. |
