Funeral services for Kara Beth Whitney, 16, of Chickasha, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2001, in the Epworth United Methodist Church. Dr. Mike Butler will officiate, with Brad Butler assisting.

Kara Whitney was born on August 19, 1984, in Chickasha. She died on February 15, 2001, in Chickasha.

Burial will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Kara Beth Whitney, 16, of Chickasha, were held Saturday, February 17, 2001, at 2:00 p.m. in the Epworth United Methodist Church with Dr. Mike Butler officiating and Brad Butler assisting.

Kara Whitney was born on August 19, 1984, in Chickasha, the daughter of Kevin Whitney and Robyn Whitney Wilson. She died on February 15, 2001, in Chickasha.

Kara lived all of her sixteen years in Chickasha. She attended Southwest Elementary School. She then went on to Chickasha High School were she was in her sophomore year.

She enjoyed music and was a member of the Chickasha High School Choir.

Kara was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her mother and step-father, Robyn and Reese Wilson of the home in Hendersonville, TN; father and step-mother Kevin and Alison Whitney of the home in Chickasha; one sister, Katie Whitney of the home in Chickasha; one brother, Luke Whitney of the home in Hendersonville, TN; one step-brother, Kyler Wilson of the home in Hendersonville, TN; maternal grandparents, Bob and Pat Bunyard of Beaumont, TX; paternal grandparents Glenn and Martha Whitney of Beaumont, TX; three great grandmothers, Delma Williams of Trinity, TX, Susan Whitney of Humble, TX and Georgia Edmonds of Beaumont, TX; three aunts and uncles, Kelly and Jay Hall of Franklin, TN, Debbie and Chris Pallone of Beaumont, TX, Patti and Doug Martin of Nashville, TN; and numerous cousins, and friends.

Music was provided by several favorite selections.

Casket bearers were: Rocky Madison, Matt Ford, Grant Gordon, Kris Palesano, Chris Peschl, Matthew Griffin, Brad Smith and Dave Pardue.

Interment was in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
