© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Monday, October 31, 2005 March 20, 1946 ~ October 29, 2005 Funeral service for Bernice White, age 59 of Chickasha will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2005 in the Grand Assembly of God Church in Chickasha. Bernice White was born March 20, 1946 in Marlow, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Jed and Leona [Spears] Simmons. She died Saturday, October 29, 2005 in Chickasha. Bernice grew up in Cement. She and Clyde White were married April 7, 1962. She has lived in Chickasha for many years. She has been a Christian since early childhood and served God diligently during her adult life. She had sincere compassion for people and shared God with others thus reaching and changing lives. She expressed her Christian faith through poetry and songwriting. Nee as she was called and later called Nee Nee by the younger grandchildren was a wonderful mother and mother-in-law. She was loved greatly by her entire family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Herman Simmons and an infant brother. Survivors include: her husband Clyde White of the home in Chickasha; one daughter: Sheila and her husband Mike Mosley of Chickasha; three sons: Darrell and his wife Mary White of Chickasha; Gred and his wife Tracey White of Shawnee; Brian and his wife Jamie White of Chickasha; two sisters: Ruby Andrado of Oklahoma City; Mattie Smith of Chickasha; four brothers: Ruffus Simmons of Chickasha; Clifford Simmons of Cement; Mack simmons of Cement; Charles Simmons of Cement; seven grandchildren: Amy, Kayla, Jorday, Joshua, Tanner, Briar and Jacie White. Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, Oklahoma under the direction of Sevier Funreal Home. |
