© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Thursday, April 13, 2006 August 8, 1918 ~ April 11, 2006 Funeral service for Dovie Victoria Wheeler, 87, of Marlow, Oklahoma will be held at 1:3 p.m., Friday, April 14, 2006 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Dovie Victoria Wheeler was born August 8, 1918 in Hopkins County, Texas the daughter of Acy Y. and Bessie [Perkins] Jolley and died April 11, 2006 at her home in Marlow. Dovie was a long time resident of Grady County, Oklahoma. She married Winston Rogers and later married A. W. Wheeler on September 28, 1962. He preceded her in death in 1988. Dovie was a member of the Church of Christ. She was also preceded in death by: two daughters: Betty Moe and Shirley Rogers; one son: Jimmy Rogers; two grandchildren: Carla Sue McKenna and Ricky Rogers. Survivors include: four daughters: Nancy Bolin and husband Robert of Chickasha; Sue Craig of Rush Springs; Sherry Harrison and husband Tommy of Rush Springs; Cynthia McKenna of Aline, Oklahoma; one brother: Harold Jolley of the state of Washington; one sister: Wanda Wright of Chickasha; 22 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 37 great great grandchildren; three great great great grandchildren; her church family and numerous stepchildren. She was very close to the Rogers family. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
