© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Thursday, September 14, 2006 November 27, 1929 ~ September 12, 2006 Funeral service for Alma Virginia Whaley, 76, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 15, 2006 at the Cornerstone Church, Chickasha. Alma Virginia Whaley was born November 27, 1929 in Jericho, Texas the daughter of Roy and Annie B. [Elms] Brown and died September 12, 2006 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Alma lived in Chickasha since 1969. She worked at Grady Memorial Hospital for 30 years and was a licensed practical nurse. Alma retired in 1990. She was preceded in death by: her parents; one daughter: Belle Parker; one great grandson. Survivors include: four daughters: Iris Daly of McAlester, Oklahoma; Sandy Robbins of Little Rock, Arkansas; Judy Zuver of Atlanta, Georgia; Marita Whaley of Marlow, Oklahoma; three sons: Michael James of Chickasha; Patrick James of Chickasha; Clay Whaley of El Paso, Texas; one brother: Jack Brown of Tennessee; one sister: Irma Kirtley of Noble, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
