Norma Lea [Hurst] Weaver
October 1, 1932 ~ July 6, 2009


Funeral service for Norma Lea Weaver, 76, of Lone Grove, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, July 9, 2009 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.

NORMA LEA WEAVER was born October 1, 1932 in Chickasha, Oklahoma the daughter of Harold Thomas Hurst and Norma Elsa [Smith] Hurst.

She died July 6, 2009 in Bethany, Oklahoma.

Norma grew up in the Chickasha area and graduated from Friend High School.

She worked as a nurses aide for 12 years.

She returned to college with four children at home and graduated from USAO with a degree in Vocational Home Economics.

She taught school in Lone Grove, Oklahoma for 5 years and worked for theDepartment of Human Services in Ardmore for 18 years, retiring in 1990.

She was preceded in death by: 1 son: Thomas Edward Weaver, Her parents: Harold and Norma Hurst, 1 grandson: Jason Keith Terry. Survivors include:3 children: Mickie Sue Townley, Annetta Camila Mason, James Lea Weaver, 2 brothers: Billy Don Hurst, Harold LaVon Hurst, 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
