© Eisenhour Funeral Home Blanchard, Oklahoma June 13, 2005 November 21, 1922 ~ May 5, 2013 Zella Mae Washburn, 90, of Blanchard, died Sunday, May 5, 2013 in Norman. The daughter of Ollie Ellen [Horner] Thurman and William Anderson Thurman, she was born November 21, 1922 in Claremore, Oklahoma. Zella worked for many years as a licensed practical nurse in a doctor's office until her retirement. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking and sewing, but her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, William Larry Callaway; great grandson, Nathan Tyler Callaway; a brother, Clyde Anderson Thurman; and a sister-in-law, Betty Thurman. Zella is survived by two daughters, Linda Kay Golden and husband, Bob, of Blanchard and Carol June Haney and husband, Larry, of Tennessee; her grandchildren, Rod Goodhue and wife, Kris, of Newcastle, JoAnn Callaway of Bridge Creek, Christie Spillman and husband, Rodney, of Tennessee, and Kellie Payne and husband, James, of Tennessee; her great grandchildren, Magen Root and husband, Nick, of Blanchard, Gary Goodhue and wife, Deidre, of Texas, Will Callaway, Jessie Callaway, Rachael Callaway, all of Bridge Creek, Chelsea Cutshaw, Kaillie Payne, and Kaiden Payne, all of Tennessee; great-great grandchildren, Brody Root, Madelynn Mae Root, Colton Callaway-Wright, Asten Goodhue, and Alexis Coleman; one brother, Billy Gordon Thurman of Norman; and many other loved ones and friends. Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Interment will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha.
