© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Wednesday, January 21, 2009 June 8, 1917 ~ January 19, 2009 Graveside service for Frank Waddell, Jr. 91, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, January 23, 2009 at the Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha. Frank Waddell, Jr. was born June 8, 1917 in Sayre, Oklahoma, the son of Frank Waddell, Sr. and Cora (Landerdale) Waddell. He died January 19, 2009 in Chickasha. He and Dorothy Barlee were married August of 1937. They celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary in August of 2008. Mr. Waddell was the first principal of Grand Avenue Elementary School from 1950-1979. He retired in 1979. He served in the U.S. Navy during Worl War II and the Korean Conflict. Mr. Waddell was a member of the Retired Teathers Association, OEA and NEA. He was preceded in death by: Parents; Frank Waddell, Sr. and Cora Waddell; 1 brother, Jack Waddell. Survivors include: Wife; Dorothy Waddell of Chickasha; 1 son and daughter-in-law; Gary and Patricia Waddell of Chickasha; 1 granddaughter and her husband; Jenny(?) and Willein(?) Venter of Las Vegas, Nevada; 1 grandson and his wife, Gary and Fei(?) Waddell of Bangkok, Thailand; great granddaughters; Duthcan ? and Parker Huwell ? of Las Vegas, Nevada. |
© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Monday, December 21 2009 July 27, 1920 ~ December 17, 2009 Graveside service for Dorothy May Waddell, 89, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 3:30 p.m., Monday, December 21, 2009 at the Fairlawn Cemetery. Dorothy May Waddell was born July 27, 1920 in Lindsay, Oklahoma and passed away peacefully in her sleep, December 17, 2009. She and Frank Waddell were married August 9,1937. Dorothy worked for Hicks Western Store and the Jeep Store for over 30 years and retired in 1982. She was preceded in death by: Her husband: Frank Waddell January 19, 2009, Parents: O.A. and Vera Bartee, 6 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include:1 son and daughter-in-law: Gary and Pat Waddell, 2 grandchildren: Jenny Venter of Las Vegas, Nevada, Gary Waddell, Jr. of Salaya, Thailand, Great granddaughter: Duncan and Parker Howell of Las Vegas, 1 brother: Don Bartee of Weatherford, Texas. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
