© Sevier Funeral Home Chickasha, Oklahoma April 2015 November 16, 1925 ~ April 28, 2015 Funeral service for Helen Faye Voss of Chickasha, OK will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2015 at Southern Oaks Church of Christ. Helen Faye Voss was born November 16, 1925 in Waurika, Oklahoma to Leon and Caroline [Sawyer] Rodgers. She passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 in Chickasha, OK at the age of 89. She was married on March 1, 1943 in the Hawkins Community near Alex, Oklahoma to Wade Voss. She was a farmers wife and mother in the Alex community. They moved to Chickasha in 1972 where she worked as a CAN and Monitor Tech at the Grady Memorial Hospital for 15 years. She spent her life raising children and caring for others in need. Mrs. Voss loved flowers and spent many hours growing beautiful flower gardens around her home. She was a member of the Church of Christ and a member of the Winter Creek Home Extension club. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wade Voss of 44 years; parents, Leon and Caroline Rodgers; 3 sisters, Wanda Rodgers, Frances Rodgers and Wilma Williams; and 2 brothers, Jesse Leon Rodgers, Jr. and Charley Rodgers. Mrs. Voss is survived by her children; Werner Voss of Chickasha, OK, Elisa Rosemonda Finley of Oklahoma City, OK, Theresa Hawkins of Tulsa, OK, Patrice Ziegler of Wichita, KS, Roger Voss of Maple Valley, WA, a sister, Edna McCumber of Wichita, KS and, a brother John Rodgers of Chickasha, OK, 15 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Tipton Children’s Home, 1000 N. Broadway Ave., Tipton, OK 73570. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, OK under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.sevierfuneralhome.com. |
