Graveside services for Charles "LeRoy" Trotter, 69, of Chickasha, will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fairlawn Cemetery.

Charles LeRoy Trotter was born August 13, 1936, in Cyril, Oklahoma. He died Sunday, October 9, 2005, in Chickasha.

Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

Charles "LeRoy" Trotter

Graveside services for Charles "LeRoy" Trotter, 69, of Chickasha, will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. in the Fairlawn Cemetery with Larry Hatfield officiating.

Charles LeRoy Trotter was born August 13, 1936, in Cyril, Oklahoma, the son of James Hammonds and Eva F. Harris. He died Sunday, October 9, 2005, in Chickasha.

LeRoy grew up in the Cement and Cyril area. He attended public schools in Cement.

He married Shirley Hargus on December 11, 1954, in Cement.

In 1971 he purchased Hammonds Horse Trailers where he had been self employed until his retirement in 1998.

He enjoyed fishing, raising cattle, riding horses and spending.

LeRoy was preceded in death by his stepfather, James Hammonds, his mother, Eva Hammonds and a granddaughter, Ashley Cook.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Trotter, of the home; one daughter, Terri Keck, of Oklahoma City; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Karen Trotter, Danny Trotter, all of Chickasha; grandsons, Daniel Trotter, Kyle Trotter, Gary Hightower of Chickasha and Jeramie Trotter, of Dibble; granddaughter, Shanda Taylor Raasch of Chickasha.

Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

Shirle Ruth [Hargus] Trotter
February 8, 1939 ~ September 1, 2018


Shirle Ruth Trotter, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 79. She was born February 8, 1939 in Cement, Oklahoma to Deb and Wilma [Bentley] Hargus.

Shirle has lived in the Chickasha area most of her life. She married Charles Leroy Trotter on December 11, 1954 and they were married for 50 years. She had worked at American Optical.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles Trotter, brothers and sisters: Roland Hargus, Betty Hargus Beller, Ruby Evelyn “Ted” Humphrey and Jerry Hargus; granddaughter, Ashley J. Cook, great grandson, Kaiden R. Trotter and her stepmom, Ann Hargus.

Shirle is survived by her children: Jimmy Trotter and his wife, Karen; Danny Ray Trotter, Terry Heilman-Keck; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; Sisters: Rita Shepard and Carol Floyd; Brothers: Kenneth Hargus, John Hargus and Mark Hargus; And several nieces and nephews including Cheryl Greene.
