Harriet [Fuller] Roberson Townsel Townsend
May 30, 1895 ~ --/Mar/1997


Funeral service for Harriet Townsel [Townsend], 101, of Chickasha, will be held at 1 pm Tuesday, March 18, 1997, at Shepherd Street Christian Church, Chickasha. Rev. Boyze Edwards Jr will officiate.

Harriet Townsel Townsend was born May 30, 1895, in Haughton, Louisiana, the daughter of Martin and Donnia Fuller. While she lived in Louisiana, she married Rev. Howard Roberson, who preceded her in death. They had seven children, and later moved to Roxton, Texas.

Harriet later married Marion Townsel [Townsend]. They lived in California for over 30 years. She later moved to Chickasha.

She was preceded in death by both husbands, three children, Mary Jane, Lloyd and Arlister; both parents; four sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include three daughters, Alice Weathers of Los Angeles, California and Rosie Burton and Ardessa Bowens, both of Chickasha; one son, Joe Henry Roberson, of Los Angeles, Calif.; one sister-in-law, LaVada Townsel (Townsend), of Chickasha; 17 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren; 47 great-great grandchildren; two great-great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, under the direction of the Brown/Christian Funeral Home, Chickasha.

Kenneth Grannis "Casey" Townsend
June 6, 1905 ~ March 31, 1969


Services for Kenneth Grannis "Casey" Townsend, 1316 Idaho, were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home by Rev. Bill Leonard.

He died March 31 at his home. He was born June 6, 1905 at Onarga, Ill. He married Ruby Adell, May 16, 1946 in Chickasha. He was head driller for Viersen Cochran since 1947 previously construction foreman. He came to Chickasha in 1946 from Shawnee.

Survivors are his wife; one son, Jerry, Del City one half brother, B. E. of Calif.; six grandchildren.

Interment was in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.

James A. Townsend, 68, of Chickasha, Okla., was buried at Fairlawn Cemetery, under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

James A Townsend was born Oct. 12, 1935, in Pennsylvania, and died on Friday, Sept. 24, 2004, in Chickasha.
