Lela Alice [George] Thoma
July 22, 1928 ~ May 25, 2007


Funeral service for Lela Alice Thoma, age 78 of Chickasha, Oklahoma, was held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2007, in the Bible Baptist Church. Rev. Kim Hayes officiated.

Lela Alice Thoma was born the daughter of Lester Virgil George and Clara Failing George on July 22, 1928, in Hayward, Oklahoma. She died on May 25, 2007, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

She married Malcolm Thoma on August 23, 1962, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

During her life, Lela worked at a grocery store in Orlando, Oklahoma, as a switchboard operator, at Larry Black Sporting Goods in Enid, Oklahoma, and was owner-manager of M.T. -RV Trailer Parker.

Lela loved to cook, decorate cakes, and loved to sew.

She also was a very talented artist. Lela served as den mother for the cub scouts.

She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, twin brother, Lee Owen George, her husband, Malcolm Udell Thoma, and son and daughter twins, Patrick Louis Hasler and Patricia Louise Hasler.

Survivors include: Son & Wife: Joseph & Deborah Hasler of Ft. Worth, Texas; Daughter & Husband: Sherry & James Lynch of Chickasha; Son & Wife: Bobby & Renee Hasler of Oklahoma City; Six Grandchildren; Nine Great Grandchildren; Brother & Wife: Verl & Jerry George of Catoosa; Brother & Wife: Merl & D. J. George of Lake Eufala; and Brother & Wife: Randy & Norma George of Enid.

Interment was in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
