© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma December 10, 2006 July 14, 1938 ~ December 8, 2006 Funeral service for Ronald Leon Terry, 68, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 11, 2006 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Ronald Leon Terry was born July 14, 1938 in Rush Springs, Oklahoma the son of Chester and Alice [Forbes] Terry and died Friday, December 8, 2006 at his home in Chickahsa. Ronald lived in Chickasha all of his life. He and Betty Tryon were married May 9, 1969 in Anadarko, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death October 5, 2002. Ronald worked for the City of Chickasha for over 43 years. He retired July of 2006 as Superintendent of the Parks Department. He loved going to the lake and spending time with family and friends. He liked to watch sports and participated in League Bowling. Ronald was also preceded in death by: Parents: Chester and Alice Terry; Brother-in-law: Jimmy Tryon; one grandson: Bradley Stumpf. Survivors include: Five sons and their wives: Cyrus and Judy Stumpf of Amber, Oklahoma; Raymond and Sharon Stumpf of Chickasha; Elbert and Debara Stumpf of Chickasha; John and Sherrie Stumpf of Chickasha; Jimmy and Debbie Stumpf of Chickasha; One daughter and her husband: Shelia and Bill Bailey of Hartshorne, Oklahoma; One sister and her husband: Shirley and Billy Wyant of Chickasha; Three brothers and wives: Clifford Terry of Walnut Creek, California; Gerald and Aletha Terry of Chickasha; Harold and Nellie Terry of Solomon, Kansas; Two sisters-in-law and husbands: Reba and Don Mitchell of Dillon, Montana; Barbara and Don Parham of Chickasha; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
