© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Thursday, January 20, 2011 Barbara Jean [Wilson] Cudd Swanson December 8, 1930 ~ January 16, 2011 Funeral services for Barbara Jean [Wilson] Cudd Swanson of Lindsay, OK will be Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Missionary Baptist Church in Lindsay. Barbara Jean [Wilson] Cudd Swanson was born on December 8, 1930 in Bradley, OK to Floyd and Opal [Looney] Wilson during the depression and dust bowel days. She passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2011 in Lindsay, OK at the age of 80. She graduated from Alex High School in 1948. Barbara worked for R.C. Lindsay Department Store for many years in Lindsay. She later worked for SW Bell Telephone for a number of years. In 1974, she moved to Duncan, OK where she was a manager of Surplus City. She worked in Duncan antique shops until her retirement in 1995. Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter and sister. She is preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Bobby Joe Cudd, Second husband, George Swanson, Father and stepmother, Floyd and Florence Wilson, Mother, Opal [Looney] Wilson Godwin, Stepfather, Emmitt Godwin, Infant brother, Billie Ray Wilson, Daughter-in-law, Sheri Cudd; Stepsister, Dorse Manning, Stepbrothers, Leon Hedger and Larry Hedger, Both sets of grandparents and great grandparents. Barbara is survived by 2 sons: Bob Cudd and his wife, Paula Cudd, of Lindsay, OK, Bill Cudd of Oklahoma City, OK, Brother and sister-in-law, Hubert and Rose Wilson of Port Orchard, WA, Stepsister, Reba Jo Shaw and her husband, RT Shaw, of Ninnekah, OK, Grandsons: Brett Cudd of Oklahoma City, OK, Blake Cudd of Moore, OK, Kevin Cudd and his wife, Deanna, of Friendswood, TX, Granddaughters: Kim Cudd of Oklahoma City, OK and Kourtney Brooks of Lindsay, OK, Step-granddaughter, Alexis Shepard of Lindsay, OK, 2 Great-grandsons: Camron Cudd of Friendswood, TX and R.J. Brooks of Lindsay, OK, Great-granddaughters, Emily and Kennedy Cudd of Friendswood, TX, Daughter-in-law, Marcy Cudd of Moore, OK, Stepdaughter, Sheri Swanson of Duncan, OK. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, OK under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home, Chickasha, OK. |
