Robert L. Stidham Jr
July 26, 1891 ~ February 12, 1972


Funeral service for Robert L. Stidham, 80, 926 South Third Street will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.

Mr. Stidham died Saturday at the Grady Memorial Hospital. He was born July 26, 1891 at Oneida, Tenn. Mr. Stidham moved to Grady county and settled at Alex in 1908 and has lived in and around Chickasha for over 50 years.

Stidham married the former Roxie Swinford at Stillwater. He served with the Chickasha Police Department for five years and was with the sheriff's department for five years. During World War II he was a guard at the W and B Flying School.

Mr. Stidham was a veteran of World Wr I serving with the U. S. Army, he was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, a member of the American Legion Hurst Beaton Post No. 434 of Chickasha and a member of the I.O.O.F Lodge No. 618.

Survivors include: his wife, Roxie; one step daughter, Mrs. Edna Faye Reedy; one brother, Homer Stidham of Oklahoma City; nine sisters, Mrs. Martha Stephens of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Ella Phelps of Gainsville, Tex., Mrs. Stella Hayes, Mrs. Miller Rodgers, Mrs. Elbert Rodgers and Mrs. J. H. Layman all of Chickasha; Mrs. Edna Byrd of Modesto, Calif; Mrs. Opal McKenzie of Pryor, Okla.; Mrs. Nanie Cornell of El Cajon, Calif. Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Delbert Dewayne Stidham
November 28, 1957 ~ October 26, 2008


Delbert Dewayne Stidham was born to Lucille F. [Tryon] and Coleman O. Stidham on November 28, 1957, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Delbert attended school in Chickasha and was a cabinet builder, welder and mechanic, and had been employed by Chickasha Mobile Home for 10 years. He was a member of the Coon Hunters Association and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Delbert passed away October 26,2008 at 50 years of age.

Services were held at 11 AM, Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at the Full Gospel Church in Chickasha. Sister Alice Wendling officiated with interment held in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha.

Arrangements made by Eisenhour Funeral Home, Blanchard.
