She died December 9, 2005 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. © The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Monday, December12, 2005 June 12, 1927 ~ December 9, 2005 Funeral service for Johnny Lou Shaffer, age 78 of Chickasha will be held 10:00 am Tuesday December 13, 2005 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Johnny Lou Shaffer was born June 12, 1927 at Shidler, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of John B. and Zella [Smithson] Rowe. She died Friday December 9, 2005 in Oklahoma City. She and Frank P. Shaffer were married August 1, 1946 in Borger Texas. Mrs. Shaffer had lived in Chickasha since 1957. She worked at the Grady County Court House as Deputy Court Clerk for almost 30 years. She retired 12 years ago. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Roy Lee Rowe and her daughter Ella Mae Schneider. Survivors include: Her husband Frank P. Shaffer of the home in Chickasha; One son : Jake Shaffer and his wife Mignon of Chickasha; Six grandchildren: Phil Shaffer and wife Melanie of Joshua, Texas; Chad Schneider of Chickasha; Scott Shaffer of Chickasha; Shelby Schneider-Felix and husband Jeff of Oklahoma City; Great- grand children: Braden and Cade Shaffer and Heston Shaffer; One sister: Mary Overlease of Skiatook, Oklahoma. Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, Oklahoma under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Sunday, January 14, 2007 April 9, 1943 ~ January 11, 2007 Funeral service for Ora Sheila Sue Shaffer, age 63, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2007, in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Danny Carlisle will officiate. Ora Sheila Sue was born the daughter of Brownlow Blevins and Sarah Blevins on April 9, 1943, in Kannapolis, North Carolina. She died on January 11, 2007 in Chickasha. Sue had her first child at the age of 18. She took care of and raised many children during her life. Sue worked for TORIN Corporation in Lawton, Oklahoma, from 1977 to 1988 and later worked at Idaho Ave. Care Nursing Home in Chickasha. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Sue was an extremely kind and gentle person. She loved animals and rescued many dogs and cats. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Zane and Gerald Blevins, and granddaughter, Chyanna Cronk. Survivors include: Companion: Tom Harkins; Daughter: Charlotte Fultz Workman of Bartlesville; Daughter: Trudie Ogle Dick of Bartlesville; Daughter: Teresa Ogle Cronk of Bartlesville; Daughter: Tyna Ogle of Bartlesville; Daughter: Laura Shaffer Stewart of Chickasha; Son: Robert Stewart of Chickasha; Brother: Eddie Blevins of Warrenville, North Carolina; Brother: Allen Blevins of Monroe, North Carolina; Brother: James Blevins of Kannapolis, North Carolina; Eighteen Grandchildren: Kristofer, Erika, Jon, Allena, Kenny, Shania, Towanda, Wyatt, Tessa, Destiny, Dustin, Demetra, Brook, Brayden, Emy, Joy, Heather and Steven; Four Great-Grandchildren. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home. |
