Sarratt, 84, of Tecumseh, passed away, Monday, December 19, 2011, in Tecumseh. She was born March 22, 1927 to George Alva and Ola [Stamps] Perdue in Verden, OK. Charlistine was raised north of Verden and attended Verden Schools. She married Art Sarratt on January 21, 1945 in Chickasha, OK and lived a short time in Chickasha and Oklahoma City. While raising a family she moved to Montclair, CA, then lived in Las Vegas, NV and back to Oklahoma. Charlistine worked for Safeway Stores in California and helped her husband, Art, in the family grocery business. They owned and operated Bob's Country Store in Macomb from 1979 to 1995. She then became a demonstrator at Sam's Club in Midwest City, OK, which she enjoyed very much. Charlistine was a member of Sharon Baptist Church. She enjoyed helping her husband do research on genealogy and traveling. She has 3 children, 7 grandchildren, and 10great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Art Sarratt on February 9, 2009; her parents; daughter, Helen Sarrett; 4 brothers, Connie Perdue, Willie Perdue, R.D. Perdue and Cecil Perdue; and sister, Mary Anderson. Charlistine is survived by daughter, Jeannie Robinson, San Diego, CA; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Misty Sarratt, Spring, TX; sister, Owita Willis, Verden, OK; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Merlynn Perdue and Glen and Gaynell Perdue.
