Sanders, 85, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 17, 1983 in the chapel of Sevier Funeral Home with Rev. L. Neal Kennedy pastor of Frisco Avenue United Methodist Church officiating. Mr. Sanders was born February 9, 1898 in Tennessee. He died Monday February 14, 1983 in Grady Memorial Hospital. He came to Oklahoma 50 years ago from Arkansas. Mr. Sanders lived most of his life in the Verden-Anadarko area. He lived the last month and a half in Amber because of his health. Survivors include two sons, Glen of Amber and Albert of Cement; one daughter, Margaret Warlick of Oklahoma City; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. |
© Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Friday, December 14, 2007 Glen Edward Sanders December 7, 1926 ~ December 10, 2007 Graveside service for Glen Edward Sanders, 81, was held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, December 13, 2007 at the Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha. Glen Edward Sanders was born December 7, 1926 in Newark, Arkansas the son of John Winford and Winnie Mae Sanders and died December 10, 2007 in Chickasha. Glen lived in the Chickasha and Amber areas all of his life. He worked for the City of Chickasha at the airport and park department. Glen served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He and Betty Lou Edon were married May 13, 1949 in Chickasha. She preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by parents; one sister: Margaret Warlick; one son: Glen Edward Sanders, Jr.; one daughter: Linda Lou Sanders. Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law: Lloyd Sanders, Sr. and wife Catherine of Yukon; one brother: Albert Sanders of Chickasha; five grandchildren: Leslie Ann Sanders, Lloyd Ray Sanders, Jr., Tyler Dane Sanders, Brittney Elaine Sanders and Hunter Ray Sanders; 10 great-grandchildren. Interment was in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. The casket was closed. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity. |
© Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Friday, September 30, 2005 Lonnie Edward Sanders January 11, 1946 ~ September 28, 2005 Lonnie Edward Sanders was born on January 11, 1946 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to John and Marguerite Sanders. He died on Wednesday, September 28, 2005, at the age of 59. He served in Vietnam Veteran assigned to the 41st Field Artillery, 35th Artillery. Lonnie was preceded in death by his mother and father. Lonnie is survived by his wife Ann, children, Amber Leach, Kimberly Maxwell, Matthew Sanders, Stacy Crews, and Brandon Sanders; several grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Sullivan and Donna Jenkins; and one brother, Dwayne Blessing. Services will be at the Eagle Heights Church in South Oklahoma City, on Monday, October 3, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside services will be held the same day at 2:30 p.m. at Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha, Oklahoma. |

He died on July 21, 2014, at home in Chickasha. Burial arrangements were in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. |
© Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Sunday, July 22, 2007 Shane Ray Sanders December 1, 1971 ~ July 18, 2007 Funeral service for Shane Ray Sanders, age 35, of Chickasha will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 23, 2007, at the Full Gospel Church. Shane Ray Sanders was born the son of Harvey Sanders and Barbara Basham Sanders on December 1, 1971, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He died on July 18, 2007, in Chickasha. Shane lived in Chickasha most of his life. He had lived in Oklahoma City for the past six years and had recently moved back to Chickasha. Shane went to welding school in Tulsa and had worked as a welder in Oklahoma City and Chickasha. He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents, Blythe Basham, Willie Mae Sanders, Jim Sanders, Jelly Basham and great-grandparents. Hazel Neal and Art Neal. Survivors include: Mother: Barbara Sanders of Chickasha; Son: Shalyne Sanders of Chickasha; Son: Bradyne Sanders of Chickasha; Daughter: Lay la Sanders of Blanchard; Daughter: Lillian "Tiger" Green of Oklahoma City; Brother: Jimmy Sanders of Chickasha; Sister: Florence Bishop of Oklahoma City; Sister: Joan Tucker of Oklahoma City; Sister: Connie Sanders of Lone Grove; Sister: Terri Laurens of Duncan; Sister: Brenda Edwards of Chickasha; Girlfriend: Autumn Green of Oklahoma City; Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home. |
