© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Friday, October 2, 2009 November 28, 1919 ~ October 1, 2009 Freda Hazel Russell of Norman, OK passed away October 1, 2009. Funeral services will be held 1:30 P.M. Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Seviers Funeral Home in Chickasha, OK with Pastor Robert Dye officiating. Burial will be at Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha, OK immediately following. Freda was born on November 28th, 1919 in Chickasha, OK to David Albert and Gladys Vier. Freda married Hershell Paul Russell April 6, 1940. They were married for 58 years. He preceded her in death on August 16, 1997 in Norman. Freda was a housewife who enjoyed her family more than anything. She was a long time member of Michigan Avenue Baptist Church in Chickasha. Survivors include her sons: Paul Russell and wife Mary of Norman, Danny Russell and wife Jacque of Midwest City, OK and Ron Russell and wife Sherry of Mustang, OK. Her brother Charles Vier and wife Edith of Tulsa, OK, sister-in-law Dorothy Aprecio and husband Johnny of Colorado Springs, CO. Grandchildren: Gordon and Collin of Norman, Steven of Broken Arrow, OK, Scott of Bossier, LA., Darrin, Mark and Kris of Oklahoma City, Brian of Midwest City and Lisa of Moore, OK. Freda was preceded in death by her infant daughter Janetta Beth, her son Bill Russell and grandson Richard Russell of Chickasha, her brother Bob Vier, sisters Mona Trout and Francis Cook. She had several great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by family and friends. |
