Geneva Bailey Roberts was born January 31, 1913, and died December 28, 2003. Burial will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. © The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma 30 December 2003 Geneva Bailey Roberts January 31, 1913 ~ December 28, 2003 Funeral service for Geneva Bailey Roberts, 90, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 31, 2003, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Geneva Bailey Roberts was born January 31, 1913, in Middleburg, Oklahoma, the daughter of E. W. and Eva [Wood] Bailey, and died December 28, 2003, in Chickasha. Mrs. Roberts and her husband lived in California from 1943-1957, where they had an almond orchard. They then moved to Chickasha and farmed in the Laverty area. Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by: Husband, Ernest Roberts, May 23, 1976; brothers: Homer Bailey, Bill Bailey, Emanuel Bailey, Bruce Bailey, and Reford Bailey; sisters: Hester Cates and Lorene Sumners. Survivors include: 1 daughter and her husband, Betty and Bob Hinton of Chickasha; 1 son, Billy Roberts of Chickasha; 2 sisters: Opal Ford of Cement, Oklahoma, Mildred Bishop of Bethany, Oklahoma; 2 grandchildren: Gary Hinton and Susan Parr; 6 great grandchildren; 2 great, great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and special caregivers at Christian Care. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |

Roberts, 82, of Chickasha with Ferguson Funeral Home. Loyd T. Roberts was born Dec. 30, 1921 and died Saturday, April 3, 2004 in Oklahoma City. © The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma April 5, 2004 Loyd T. Roberts December 30, 1921 ~ April 2, 2004 Funeral services for Loyd T. "L.T." Roberts, 82, of Chickasha, will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel, with Robert Dye officiating. Loyd T. Roberts was born December 30, 1921, in Cement, Oklahoma, the son of John Calvin Roberts and Gertie Lee Childs Roberts. He died Friday, April 2, 2004, in Oklahoma City. L.T. grew up in Cement and graduated from Cement High School. He married Alice M. Hilliard on January 23, 1943, in Chickasha. L.T. served in the U.S. Army for two years and eleven days before getting an honorable medical discharge on October, 17, 1944. He had been employed in the oil fields where he had worked for Superior Oil Company in several capacities. He retired due to his health. L.T. was an avid O.U. Fan and loved watching sports. He also loved spending time at the lake cabin fishing, traveling and pestering the kids. He was preceded in death by both parents, and two brothers, John J. Roberts and Leonard Roberts. Survivors include his wife, Alice, of the home; one brother and sister-in-law, Elmo and Faye Roberts, of Amarillo, Texas; one sister, Odessa Hall, of Shreveport, Louisiana; many nieces, nephews and many friends. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. |
