Eldon Lee Quate
August 15, 1896 ~ December 13,1966


Eldon Lee Quate, 70, died Tuesday in the Veteran's Hospital in Oklahoma City. He had been in failing health for the past ten years.

Quate was born August 15, 1896 in Honey Grove, Texas. He resided in and around Chickasha for the past 23 years. He formerly resided in DeQueen, Ark. In his early life he followed oilfield work, later retiring in 1956 as a farmer.

He was married to the former Miss Ruby Beasley on May 17, 1925 at Winthrop, Ark.

He was a veteran of World War I, serving with the U. S. Army, and a member of the American Legion Post at Shawnee.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby, of the home; three sons, Loyd Quate and Olin Quate, both of Chickasha and Thurman Quate of Pauls Valley; one daughter, Mrs. F. E. Clark of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Mrs. Burnice Clouse of Temple, Texas and Mrs. D. W. Keefer of Dallas, Texas; one brother Curtis Quate of San Francisco, Calif.; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery.
