© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma January 29, 2013 Brenda Gail [Bottoms] Prather December 7, 1957 ~ January 27, 2013 Funeral service for Brenda Gail [Bottoms] Prather, 55, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at the Sharon Baptist Church. Brenda was born December 7, 1957 in Chickasha, Oklahoma the daughter of Elbert and Darlene [Tabor] Bottoms. She died January 27, 2013 in Chickasha. Brenda graduated from Chickasha High School in 1976. She and Richard Prather were married May 2, 1980. Brenda worked for Arvin retiring after 31 years. She was presently employed as a bank teller for First National Bank. Brenda enjoyed camping at the lake, family vacations and scenic motorcycle rides with her husband, Richard. Brenda and Tosha enjoyed regular mother/daughter movie nights. She was known as B.G. by her grandchildren and devoted her life to God, her children and grandchildren. She was active in the Women's Ministry at church. She was an inspiration to a host of people. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cement. Brenda was preceded in death by her mother, Darlene Bottoms and her sister, Cheryl Alexander. Survivors include: husband Richard Prather of the home, daughter and son in law LaTosha and Matthew Halsted of McLoud, Oklahoma, Son and daughter in law, Riley and Kassie Prather of Woodstock, grandchildren Isaac, Gracie and Hannah, father Elbert Bottoms and wife Laverne of Chickasha, brother Alvin Bottoms and wife Janet of Chickasha and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
