Martha Elizabeth "Liz" [Massey] Powell
August 29, 1926 ~ August 9, 2010


Funeral services for Martha Elizabeth "Liz" [Massey] Powell will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.

Martha "Liz" was born in Thresher, MS., on August 29, 1926, to Joseph Leonard and Edna [Floyd] Massey. She died Monday, August 9, 2010, at her home in Chickasha, OK. During Liz's early childhood years, the family moved to Snyder, Oklahoma, where she lived until her marriage to Roy J. Powell, October 18, 1945. Following their marriage, the couple moved to Chickasha.

Liz was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Powell, her parents, Joseph & Edna Massey, and two brothers, Robert & Harold Massey.

She is survived by two sisters-in-law, several nieces and nephews, even more great-nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
