© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma June 17, 2005 January 20, 1921 ~ June 16, 2005 Graveside service for Juanita [Townsend] Pitts, 84, of Huntsville, Texas, former Chickasha resident, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday June 18, 2005 at the Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha. Juanita [Townsend] Pitts was born January 20, 1921 in Duncan, Oklahoma the daughter of Asa Watson and Nettie Blanche [Poke] Townsend and died Thursday, June 16, 2005 in Huntsville, Texas. She and Elva James Andrew Pitts were married May 25, 1946 in Holdenville, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death March 23, 1986. They moved to Chickasha in 1959. They lived in Wewoka from 1965 - 1973 and later lived in Oklahoma City, Okmulgee, and Chandler. Juanita had lived in Huntsville, Texas since 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, James Patrick Pitts; and one sister, Margo McDonough. Survivors include one son, Michael Pitts of Huntsville, Texas; one daughter and her husband, Robin and Bill Brewer of Chandler, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one brother, Jim Townsend of Oklahoma City. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
