Chickasha, Oklahoma March 20, 1964 Harold Watson Peters August 18, 1907 ~ March 20, 1964 Before coming to Chickasha in 1952 Harold lived in Verden. He married Dorothy Doris Dahms on November 25, 1928. He was a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Christ Methodist Church, Chickasha Masonic Lodge, and the National Society of Public Accountants. Harold served as president of the Lawton chapter of the Oklahoma Association of Public Accountants. He was survived by his wife; one daughter and son-in-law Mareita and Dr. Herman Reece; his mother Mrs. E. W. Peters; one brother Glen Peters; three sisters Mrs. Fred McCown, Mrs. Fred Hill, and Mrs. Harold DeBerry; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held in the chapel of Sevier's Funeral Home, with Rev. Blake Hickman and Rev. Harold Himes,pastor of Christ Methodist Church officating. |
Chickasha, Oklahoma June 8, 1990 Dorothy Doris Dahms Peters December 5, 1906 ~ June 8, 1990 Dorothy came to Chickasha in 1952, having been a third grade school teacher in Anadarko, Chickasha and Verden. She retired in 1970. She was a member of the Verden First United Methodist Church and the Oklahoma Retired Teachers Association. Survivors included one daughter and son-in-law Mareita and Dr. Herman Reece; two sisters Ethel Lovelace and Lela Lewis; one brother Dr. Reynold Dahms; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Dorothy supported the Larry Jones Feed the Children Fund in Oklahoma City. Funeral services were held at the Verden First United Methodist Church, with Vern Ballard of Oklahoma City officating. Burial services were arranged through Yanda and Sons Funeral Home of Yukon, directed by Gene Adams. |
