Roscoe T. Persails
July 9, 1922 ~ November 17, 2012


Funeral service for Roscoe T. Persails, age 90, of Chickasha will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov 21, 2012, at the Bible Baptist Church. Rev. Kim Hayes will officiate.

Roscoe T. Persails was born the son of Roy Persails and Florence King Persails on July 9, 1922, in Michigan. He died on November 17, 2012, in Oklahoma City.

Roscoe grew up on a dairy farm in Michigan. He entered the US Air Force in 1942 and was stationed in Iceland for two and a half years.

After serving in the Air Force, he married Wanda Terry on January 5, 1946, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They made their home in Coldwater, Michigan where Roscoe worked at a shock manufacturing plant. He also was a truck driver for Federal Motor Oil, Inc.

After his retirement in 1975, he and Wanda moved to Chickasha where he worked for a car dealership transporting cars. When he wasn't working, he loved to fish and hunt. He was also on a bowling league for 20 years.

Roscoe was a member of the Bible Baptist Church. He was also a member of the VFW and the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Florence Persails, one brother James Persails, and his wife, Wanda Persails.

Survivors include nephew and wife: Scotty and Becky Terry of Cameron; niece and husband: Calene and Tim Binns of Derby, Kan.; nephew: Ty Terry of Mill Creek, Wash.; brother-in-law and wife: Calvin and Ilene Terry of Cameron; numerous other nieces and nephews; many friends and his caregivers at Glenhaven Assisted Living.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.
