Funeral services for Lois C. Null, age 87, of Van Buren, Arkansas, formerly of Chickasha, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2004, at the Southern Oaks Church of Christ. Jim Sheerer will officiate.

Lois C. Null passed away Monday, February 23, 2004, at her home in Van Buren, Arkansas. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, LeRoy Null, and two children, daughter Ellen Nuzella Null-Miller, of Arlington, Texas, and son Bob Null and his wife, Patty Null, of Van Buren, Arkansas.

Lois was very fond of her five grandchildren, Russell Miller, Jennifer Lois Miller, Jeffrey Robert Null, Tracy Shannon Risley, and Gregory Mollett Null, and 6 great grandchildren.

Lois and LeRoy lived in Chickasha, Oklahoma, for fifty years before moving to Van Buren to be near their son and his family.

Lois dearly loved china painting, which she studied and painted for twenty-five years.

She was an active member of the Southern Oaks Church of Christ (formerly the 6th and Iowa congregation). Lois directed and prepared many meals for the bereaved and other church functions up into her eighties.

Lois was a teacher at Chickasha Junior High for eight years before getting her masters degree from the University of Oklahoma to become a dietitian. She later became the Director of Food Services for Oklahoma College for Women, later the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma for sixteen years.

When it came time to retire, Lois took a job with the state school lunch program where she traveled western Oklahoma, overseeing the school lunch programs. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and family.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
