Wanda Faye [Davis] Moore
April 16, 1929 ~ August 16, 2007


Funeral service for Wanda Faye Moore, 78, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 20, 2007 at the Southern Oaks Church of Christ.

Wanda Faye Moore was born April 16, 1929 in Amber, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Nellie Keller Davis and Charles Wade Davis who have preceded her in death. She died August 16, 2007 in Norman, Oklahoma.

Wanda attended school in Lawton, Oklahoma; Duncan, Oklahoma and Rialto, California. She married Robert Lynn Moore, II in 1946 in Henrietta, Texas. They moved to the Chickasha area in 1948. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, on November 1, 1989.

She is survived by: eight children: Robert Lynn Moore III, Deborah Martin, Nick Moore, Teena Hicks, Rick Moore, Melissa Casey and Shane Moore; one sister, Sue Davis and four brothers Jim Davis, Gene Davis, Joe Hopkins, George Hopkins. Three brothers preceded her in death Bobby Davis, Odis Hopkins and Paul Hopkins. She was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Wanda had a long career in sales at Hicks Department Stores and Zales Jewelers where she retired in 1989.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
