Ralic Keith Moon was born June 1, 1955, in Lawton, Oklahoma the son of Chub Moon and Emma Faye Petty Moon. He died Sunday, May 15, 2005, in Gainesville, Texas, as the result of an auto accident. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. © The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma May 18, 2005 June 1, 1955 ~ May 15, 2005 Funeral services for R. "Keith" Moon, 49, of Lake Kiowa, Texas, formerly of Chickasha, were held Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. in the Ninnekah Baptist Church, in Ninnekah with Joe Day officiating. Ralic Keith Moon was born June 1, 1955, in Lawton, Oklahoma, the son of Willie Eldon "Chub" Moon and Emma Faye Petty Moon. He died Sunday, May 15, 2005, in Ganiesville, Texas, as the result of an auto accident. Keith grew up in the Chickasha area attending Chickasha Schools and graduated from Chickasha High School in 1973. Keith began a hore racing career at the age of fourteen. His love and passion for horses lasted throughout his life. He rode and trained Quarter and Thoroughbred race horses until 2000 and then moved to the Dalles, Texas area where he began working for Yellow Trucking Company. Keith married Cindy Franks in Ft. Worth, Texas on March 22, 2002. They were currently living in Lake Kiowa, Texas, just outside Gainesville, Texas, where he enjoyed living on the golf course, which he played the course with a passion. Keith will always be remembered for his kind ways, gentle heart, loving personality and sense of humor. Keith was a devoted husband, son, father, grandfather and honest friend. He touched every life he was a part of. Keith is loved dearly and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents. He was also preceded in death by his mother, Faye, in 1999. Survivors include his wife Cindy, of the home; son and daughter-in-law Billy and Sarah Moon; daughters, April Moon and Kea Moon, all of Oklahoma City; son, Brandon Dunn, of Chickasha; step-son, Joshua Franks, of Norman; his father, Chub Moon, of Chickasha; brothers and sister-in-law, Mike and Rhonda Moon of Kerrville, Texas, Pat Moon, of Chickasha; sister, Shann Moon, of Oklahoma City, four grandchildren, Montana and Miana Moon, of Oklahoma City, Paris and Zack Dunn, of Chickasha; one niece and her husband Nena and Aaron Morgan; one nephew, Harrison Moon and a host of friends. Casket bearers were Jay Lewis, Bob Wilson, Rick Ramsey, Dave Bennett, David Dunn, Aaron Morgan and Ed Stewart. Music was provided by soloist Sharon Wilson along with some pre-recorded music. On Friday night, May 20, 2005 at Remington Park, in Oklahoma City, they will be holding a special race honoring Keith Moon's memory. Interment was in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. |
