© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Monday 1 June 2009 ~ Tuesday, June 2, 2009 Perry Joe Meeks April 17, 1962 ~ May 29, 2009 Funeral Services for Perry Joe Meeks, 47, of Chickasha will be held Tuesday June 2, 2009 at 10:30 am in the Full Gospel Church with Sister Alice officiating. Perry Joe Meeks was born April 17, 1962 in Chickasha, Oklahoma the son of Troy Lee Meeks and Mary Evelyn Sanders Meeks. He died Friday May 29, 2009 in Norman, Oklahoma. Joe was born and raised in Chickasha, the youngest of ten children. He attended Chickasha Schools and continued to live and work in Chickasha through out his life. Joe married Sandra G. Smith on April 1, 1989 in Collinsville, Oklahoma. He was most recently employed with Integrity Tree Service in Chickasha. Joe was a very loving and devoted husband, father, and friend that would do anything in the world to help somebody out. He also enjoyed OU football and spending time with his three children. Joe was preceded in death by both parents, and brother Kenneth Meeks. Survivors include his wife Sandy of the home; children: Joseph, Lynsey, and Lucas Meeks, all of the home. Brothers and spouse: Troy Meeks Jr. of Broken Arrow, David Meeks of Louisiana, Doug and Janice Meeks of Minco, Henry and Ina Meeks of North Carolina, and Kelly Meeks of Texas sisters and spouse: Linda Scott and Ed Pena of Chickasha, Darlene Chapin of Sapulpa, Irene Meeks and Bob Wall of Amber, grandson, McCale Melvin, and many close friends and other family members. .Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. |
© Ferguson Funeral Home Chickasha, Oklahoma July 2017 Kevin Dale Meeks April 26, 1977 ~ July 21, 2017 Funeral services for Kevin Dale Meeks, 40, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2017 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Alan Verser officiating. Kevin Dale Meeks was born on April 26, 1977 in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the son of Allen Douglas Meeks and Reta Ann [Climer] Englebretson. He died on Friday, July 21, 2017 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Kevin grew up in Chickasha, graduating from Chickasha High School in 1995. Kevin met Shannon Raelyn Byrum in1992 and she was the love of his life. On July 28, 1995, they were married in Chickasha and they were approaching their 22nd anniversary. He built his life around his family and loved every minute. They were blessed with two amazing children; He loved them more than anything. Kevin was a family man, every moment counted. He was an amazing husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He enjoyed being at the lake on the water, fishing, and making memories. Kevin always loved taking things apart and rebuilding a new design. Kevin loved machining and had worked at Delta Faucet. Then he found a new passion, he went to work at Suncoast Fabrication in New Jersey, driving and operating cranes. Kevin had a huge heart, he loved everyone, family and friends. He was always smiling and will be greatly missed. Kevin was preceded in death by grandparents, Troy and Evelyn Meeks, and Jessey James Climer. Survivors include his wife, Shannon Meeks, of the home; children, Shaelyn Sebastian Meeks and Lane Dale Meeks, of the home; father and step-mother, Doug and Janice Meeks, of Minco; mother, Reta Englebretson, of Chickasha; brothers and sister and their spouses, Brian and Chellie Meeks, Darren and Heather Meeks, Cody and Kasey Englebretson, Amy and Nick Muchmore, and Eric Englebretson; grandmother, Reta Climer; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Billy and Dorthy Byrum; sister-in-law, Tammy Jordan, and husband, Devaughn; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends. Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. |
