Beatrice Louise [Fellows] Medlin
December 29, 1916 ~ July 8, 2009


Funeral service for Beatrice Louise Medlin, 92, of Midwest City, Oklahoma will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 18, 2009 at the First Baptist Church Chapel.

Beatrice Louise Medlin, our beautiful mother, was born December 29, 1916 in Chickasha, OK to Roy Grant and Minnie Mae Stephens Fellows and died Wednesday, July 8, 2009 in Oklahoma City.

On November 23, 1933 she married Virgil Odell Medlin in Chickasha and during their 55 years of marriage together they had four children.

Beatrice put her family first before anything else all of her life and was considered by all who knew her as loving, generous and kind.

She was known for her beautiful and bountiful flowers and gardens, fabulous home cooking and wonderful Sunday dinners.

Throughout her life she never failed to impress others with her incredibly sharp mind and phenomenal memory.

She was preceded in death by her son, Odell Martin; her husband; her parents; three brothers, Dwain, Bill and Fred Fellows; and three sisters, Margaret Baxter, Gladys Medlin, and Mary Hunt.

Survivors include her son, Virgil Dewain Medlin of the home; daughters, Eavline Samples and husband Jerry [deceased] and Debra Kay Merideth and husband Matt, both of Midwest City; grandsons, Mike Carrasco [OH], Jeremy Samples [CA], Christopher Merideth [Edmond], Justin Merideth [OKC], Brandon Merideth [Midwest City], granddaughters, Carmen Carrasco [CA], Alicia Morace [Midwest City], Melissa Merideth [Midwest City], great-grandsons, Jared Morace [TX] Micah Morace [TX]; Miguel Carrasco and Mike Carrasco [OH]; C.J. Merideth (Edmond); great-granddaughters, Tara Morace Garcia [TX], Alyssa Merideth [Edmond], and Reese Merideth [OKC] and great-great granddaughter, Natalie Garcia [TX] and a host of nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
