© The Duncan Banner Duncan, Oklahoma Thursday, March 4, 2010 May 13, 1909 ~ November 27, 2000 CHICKASHA - Former Chickasha resident Cordelia Ann McWhorter, 91, of Duncan died Monday, November 27, 2000, in Duncan. Service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Northside Church of Christ in Chickasha. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home in Chickasha. Mrs. McWhorter was born May 13, 1909, in Love County to William and Edna Clements Alexander. She married Sidney Franklin McWhorter on December 25, 1938, in Clinton and he preceded her in death on February 14, 1984. She lived in Chickasha for more than 50 years and has lived in Duncan for the past seven years. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Dixie McWhorter of Aurora, Colo.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Max Thompson of Duncan, Marilyn and Earl Delk of Marlow and Carolyn Richardson of Chickasha; a sister-in-law, Ruby Kleager of California; 19 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; an infant daughter, Patricia Ann McWhorter; and a son-in-law, Harold Richardson. |
