How do you announce the sudden loss of someone so loved as Mary Louise Davis McDougal who died Friday September 5, 2008. Words cannot describe the woman who turned acquaintances into extended family through the smile on her face or the warmth of her friendship.

Louise was active with the PTA, Medical Auxiliary, running the Shanoan Springs Nursing Home, the McDowell Music Club and every aspect of the First Baptist Church.

She loved to cook and share the success of her kitchen with lots of family and company. She absolutely loved company and family get togethers.Together with her husband and family she traveled the world. But home was always her favorite place.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Martha, and her beloved husband of 59 years, Burton.
