[Merchant] Mays, age 73, of Ninnekah, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2007, at the First Baptist Church in Chickasha. Rev. Kevin Clarkson will officiate and Rev. Johnny Tims will assist. Mary Marie Mays was born the daughter of Hardy Merchant and Mary Frank Merchant on August 15, 1933, in Mountain View, Oklahoma. She died on March 11, 2007, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Mary lived in the Mountain View area until 1956, when she moved to Chickasha. She married Sam Mays in September of 1958. They have lived in the Chickasha area for the past fifty years. During this time, she and her husband owned and operated restaurant and antique businesses. Mary was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hardy Merchant and Mary Campbell. Survivors include: Husband: Sam Mays of the home; several nieces, nephews & cousins including cousin Betty Frank. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home. |
