Thomas L. Luster
August 7, 1928 ~ March 12, 2014

Thomas L. Luster of Maysville, Oklahoma was born to Richard and Ethel [Davison] Luster on August 7, 1928 in Bulcher, Texas and passed from this life on March 12, 2014 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 85 years.

Thomas grew up taking care of family. On June 10, 1996 Thomas married Bonnie Dean in Gainesville, Texas. He worked as a tool pusher and district oil manager for Tesoro in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing. The highlight of his life was his family. The most important things he taught others about life were to work hard and take care of your family.

Mr. Luster is survived by: His wife: Bonnie of the home Son: Rick Luster and wife Alice of Tecumseh, Oklahoma Daughter: Sharon Lewis and husband Sid of Houston, Texas Brother: Johnny Luster and wife Joyce of Gainesville, Texas Sisters: Mary Couch and husband Bob of Keller, Texas Peggy Watson of Whitney, Texas 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Luster was preceded in death by: His parents: Richard and Ethel Luster Son: Thomas Eugene Luster Grandson: Benjamin Andrew Lewis Mother of his children: Wanda "Grumbles" Luster of Lindsay.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma with Rev. Charles Dean officiating. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha, Oklahoma under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.

Wanda June [Grumbles] Luster
April 4, 1932 ~ October 30, 2009


Wanda June Luster, 77, of Shawnee, died Friday, October 30, 2009, in Shawnee.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 4 at Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha with Rev. Larry Sparks officiating, under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Luster was born April 4, 1932, in Lindsay, Okla., to Jack and Sadie [Brown] Grumbles. She was raised in Lindsay, where she lived much of her early life and attended Lindsay Schools.

In 1948 she married Thomas Luster.

As a child, she worked helping to pick cotton and broom corn. As an adult she worked for Opal's Answering Service as a switchboard operator. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Moore.

She loved fishing, dancing, playing and winning dominoes and card games with her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son: Gene; one grandson: Benjamin Lewis; three sisters: Dorothy Shea, Daphine Neal, and Sylvia Wainscott; and one brother: James Grumbles. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law: Rick and Alice Luster of Tecumseh; daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Sid Lewis of Magnolia, Ark.; grandchildren: Richard, Todd and Jason Luster, and Matthew Lewis; and great-grandchildren: Kade, Cole, Garrett, Carter, Lillie and Maci Luster.
