Winifred Sue [Elkins] Long
October 5, 1938 ~ May 9, 2007


Funeral service for Winifred "Sue" Long, 68, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, May 14, 2007 at the First Baptist Church.

Winifred "Sue" Long was born October 5, 1938 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma the daughter of Ernie and Othella [Wilmoth] Elkins and died May 9, 2007 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma surrounded by her family.

Sue was a graduate of Chickasha High School and Oklahoma College for Women [USAO].

Following graduation from college, she moved to Michigan where she met Allen Long. They were married July 20, 1963 in Chickasha. She taught school in Michigan for 14 years before moving back to Chickasha in 1978. She then taught Speech Therapy through Grady County Public Schools for almost 15 years.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include: Husband: Allen Long of the home; three daughters: Angie Jeffries of Chickasha; Nella Osborne and husband James of Firestone, Colorado; Christy Fletcher of Chickasha; three grandchildren: Cassidy Fletcher, Callie Osborne and Benjamin Osborne; one brother: William Elkins, Sr. Various aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
