Mrs. Lamb was born December 27th, 1933. She died on October 7, 2005 in Oklahoma City. © The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Monday, 10, October 2005 Louise [Kirksey] Bailey Lamb December 27, 1933 ~ October 7, 2005 Funeral services for Louise B. Lamb, 71, of Chickasha were held Monday October 10, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Christian church with Bill Shaw officiating and Don Gibson assisting. Louise Bailey Lamb was born December 27, 1933 in the Meridian Community near Amber, Oklahoma, the daughter of O. M. Kirksey and Mildred O'Briant Kirksey. She died Friday, October 7, 2005 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Louise grew up in the Meridian Community. She enjoyed playing basketball during her school years and graduated from the Meridian School in 1951. After graduation she was a homemaker for twelve years. Louise worked at the Grady Memorial Hospital as an EEG-EKG technician for more than thirty years retiring in 1993. Louise volunteered her time in many different areas including the concession stands at little league baseball games, the Chickasha swimming pool, Girl Scouts of America, Parent Teachers Association, Access Health, and the Chickasha Festival of Lights. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchild. Louise was an elder in the First Christian Church where she was active in the Christian Women's Fellowship. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Lucille Kirksey and one brother Eugene "Bub" Kirksey. Survivors include two daughters and one son; Vickie Van Hooser of Edmond, Donna and Dale DeKinder of Alexandria, Virginia and Ricky and Tammi Bailey of Chickasha; grandchildren and great grand child Danny, Stacey and Colton Dekinder; Tye Ann and Terry Bloom; Matthew Thompson; Dustin Dekinder, DeAnn DeKinder; and Rusty Bailey. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the First Christian Church in Chickasha in memory of Louise Lamb. Interment was in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. |
