© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Wednesday, November 1, 2006 August 12, 1933 ~ October 29, 2006 Funeral services for Norman Koehler, 73, of Hobert, Oklahoma, formerly of Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday November 2, 2006, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel. Norman Dale Koehler was born August 12, 1933, in Norman, Oklahoma, the son of John and Ora Lilly [Walls] Koehler. He went to be with his Lord on Sunday, October 29, 2006, in Hobart. He grew up in the Phoenix, Arizona area. He married his wife of 17 years, Janie [Derr] Koehler, on November 18, 1989, in Chickasha. They made their home in Hobart, where they made many friends and memories. Norman was a retired plumber and electrician. He enjoyed working with his hands and could fix about anything. He was a wonderful husband, dad, grandpa, brother, brother-in-law and friend, and loved spending time with his family. He will be terribly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by both parents; and one brother, John Koehler. Survivors include his wife, Janie, of the home; four daughters: Abbra Koehler, Cynthia Koehler, Svanna Anglin, and Valorie Sheppard, all of Arizona; two sons: Jerry Koehler, of Arizona and Warren Koehler, of Chickasha; two sisters: Goldie Greer, of Tulsa and Billy Jean Hammons of Colorado; brother, Warren and Louise Koehler, of Arizona; brother-in-law: James and Debbie Derr, Elvis Derr and Dara Smith and sister-in-law, Regeania Emanis, all of Chickasha; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. |
