© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma October 14, 2002 Andre Maureese Jeter August 23, 1978 ~ October 10, 2002 Funeral service for Andre Maureese Jeter, 24, Chickasha, will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2002, in the First Baptist Church, Chickasha, with Rev. Johnny Tims, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Fletcher-Jefferson Funeral Chapel. Andre was born August 23, 1978, in Oklahoma City, to Rudolph Dodd and Debra Jeter, and died October 10, 2002, in a hospital at Chickasha following a lengthy illness. He was formerly employed by Abercrombie and Fitch Clothing Store, Oklahoma City, He was also a member of the First Baptist Church were he served in the choir. While at Chickasha High, he was a member of the band, high school choir, Trinity singing group and the Steppin' Out singing group. Andre graduated in 1997 from Chickasha High School. He then attended Oklahoma Baptist University, Shawnee. At this time he sang in a college group called "Corrale." Survivors include: Mother, Debra Blaylock and stepfather, Allen Blaylock; father, Rudolph Dodd of Hobbs, N.M.; 2 sisters: Tanisha Dodd and Kiarra Dodd; 3 brothers: Rudy, Daniel and Deon Dodd; 2 aunts: Renea Jeter and Anita Jeter; 1 uncle: Russell Jeter; 2 godchildren: Brendon and Whitney Pye; a host of other relatives, friends; cousins: Robert Jeter and Danyel Jeter; stepsister: Katherine Sampson; 2 stepbrothers: Keith Whitcomb and Kenneth Whitcomb. Friends may call at First Baptist Church for viewing between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. |
