© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma October 8, 2004 September 25, 1941 ~ October 6, 2004 Funeral service for Harold Edward King, 63, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 9, 2004, at the Bible Baptist Church, Chickasha. Harold Edward King was born September 25, 1941, in Waurika, Oklahoma, the son of Ollie and Felsie [Marney] King, and died Wednesday, October 6, 2004, in Chickasha. Harold had lived in Chickasha for over 40 years. He owned and operated K&M Plumbing. He retired three years ago. Harold and Bonnie Brown were married, and she preceded him in death. He married Carolyn Sample March 18, 1972, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Harold was also preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Felsie King, two sisters, Ion Irwin and Joyce Martin, two brothers, J. B. King and William Blanton King. Survivors include his wife: Carolyn King of the home; four daughters, BeDonna Knowles of Chickasha, Tena Jordan and husband Jeff of Rush Springs, Oklahoma, Candace Tate and husband Stan of Silsbee, Texas, Wendy Heffington and husband Jay of Chickasha, Oklahoma; one son, Eddie King and wife Kari of Chickasha; four sisters, Beatrice Pope and husband Henry of Granbury, Texas, Louise Enos of Morton, Texas, Etta Lee Taylor and husband Robert of Saginaw, Texas, Loyce Goates and husband Ray of Chickasha; one brother, O. E. King and wife Nell of Beeville, Texas; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Oliver and Donna Sample; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Peggy and Wickie Riley and family, Tarri and Les Carpenter and family, Robert and Debi Sample and family: 12 grandchildren: Jason Knowles, Derick Knowles, Braden Kinnamon, Trenton Jordan, Taylor Jordan, Rebekah Jordan, David Ramsey, Cody Ramsey, Brittanie Heffington, Talesha Tate, Ian Tate and McKayla King; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
© Sevier Funeral Home Chickasha, Oklahoma October 2018 Carolyn Sue [Sample] King July 4, 1950 ~ October 7, 2018 Carolyn Sue King, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at home in Chickasha at the age of 68. She was born July 4, 1950 in Enid, Oklahoma to Oliver and Donna [Stout] Sample. Carolyn was raised in Enid and in 1963 she and her family moved to Chickasha where she graduated from Chickasha High School. She married Harold King in 1971 in Wichita Falls, Texas and he preceded her in death on October 6, 2004. She worked for American Optical of Chickasha for over 40 years before retiring. She had served as Madam President and Vice President at the Chickasha Eagle Lodge. She is also preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Braden Kinnamon. Carolyn is survived by her children: BeDonna Knowles, Tena Jordan, Candace Tate, Wendy King and Eddie King; 9 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren Sisters: Peggy Riley and Tarri Carpenter; Brother, Robert Sample; And Special friends Pokey, Paul Batchelder, Tina & Howard Donley and Mia Smith and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
